ON A LIGHTER NOTE!
THE HAMPSTER DANCE (note the spelling) http://www.hampsterdance.com

A truly silly site, consisting of about two screens of cartoon hamsters dancing, walking, turning, jumping and the like, while an annoying falsetto voice "sings" the melody to "Dancing the Night Away" from the Disney version of "Robin Hood." The sites been around since 1997, and while it includes some news and sales of site-related merchandise, its primary function is purely entertainment. A number of libraries and businesses in the United States have forbade linking to the site during work hours, which of course makes it a cult classic.

FIRST VIRTUAL MOUSEPAD MUSEUM
http://www.expa.hvu.nl/ajvdhek/index.html

This one has been included as a stress buster. As its name indicates it is a site which provides pictures of mouse mats, some history about mouse mats, and invites you to make donations to the museum and have your name recorded at the site. Since it is based in the Netherlands then perhaps it is not surprising that the majority of donors have been Dutch. So librarians of the world make your mark and donate to the Mouse Mat Museum, and cat-lovers enjoy the pictures of the Museum's new cat! Thanks to Sheila Webber for drawing attention to it.
